Anderson Silva can have a day off

While not winning the fight in the fashion he wanted to, Anderson Silva still came out on top at UFC 90. He has drawn some criticism for not putting away Patrick Cote and not unleashing the ultra aggressive fire power on the feet we are use to seeing from him. There were spurts of it, but his game plan this time around he chose a game plan to have Cote chase after him and counterpunch. We are use to seeing Silva dismantle opponents with a severe blitz of Muay Thai firepower. But sometimes things just don't work out that way. We can forgive Silva for not winning in highlight reel fashion, he's provided enough entertaining beatings to warrant his own Ultimate Knockouts DVD. Plus it can sometimes be tough to win every fight with a reverse elbow or several unanswered knees. Silva will be back in fine form next time and we can likely see more KO fire power from him soon enough.
