Diego Sanchez out of UFC 90, Josh Koscheck to fight Thiago Alves

Welterweight contender Diego Sanchez was forced to pull out of his UFC 90 bout against Thiago Alves due to torn rib cartilage, but the October 25th bout is not lost, as Josh Koscheck has stepped up to face the Brazilian. Koscheck will likely employ the same strategy Sanchez was looking to utilize--score takedowns and work ground and pound. Alves' stellar striking has dispatched of Karo Parisyan and Matt Hughes in his last 2 bouts, so Koscheck will likely look to take this fight to the ground.
