Florian vs Lauzon prediction

times.jpg

Both of these fighters are very entertaining to watch because they're finishers. Some fighters rack up wins, but do so in decision fashion, but Kenny Florian and Joe Lauzon go for the kill. Lauzon especially is an explosive start and comes at fighters hard from the opening bell. Florian, self admittedly, sometimes needs a couple shots or form of attack before really kicking it in to top gear. Nonetheless he is a finisher and a highly focussed fighter. Both have excellent grappling, and are good on their feet and strong takedown artists as well. It is a tough fight to call because of their dyanamic and explosive style of fighting--there are so many ways this fight could go. Florian is the favorite, and I'll go with him based on the fact that he has taken on some top flight competition at 155. While Lauzon has fought some tough guys, Sean Sherk, Diego Sanchez, Sam Stout and Din Thomas are on the resume of Florian, and he has developed into a top flight competitor at 155, who has fought for the title. While Lauzon has more fights than his Boston counterpart, Florian's championship experience and fights in main events on Spike TV gives him an edge in this fight. In a close battle, sometimes issues such as those can come into play. At +180 on BetUS.com, Lauzon is not a bad bet at all, but I'll play it safe and go with the favorite in Kenny Florian.
