Quinton Jackson won a unimous decision last night over Keith Jardine at UFC 96. The second round was clearly Jackson's, but the first two were rather close. What gave Jackson the edge, and something that has always been a great trait of his, is the ability to finish strong in each round. 2 of the 3 judges seemed to have given the first stanza to Jardine, and it could have been argued that he was winning the third one until Jackson landed a nice combo in the dying seconds of the fight that dropped Jardine to the mat. Jackson's ability to finish strong and land some big shots is always a great way to make a lasting impression on the mind's of the judges. It likely won him the fight last night. Kudos to Jardine for another good outing, even in defeat.
