Kenny Florian continues to impress

It's great to see fighters improve every time the go out and compete in the mixed martial arts realm. Indeed the constant and neverending improvment in every area of the game is the pursuit of every top flight mixed martial artist, and absolutely the case with Kenny Florian. He has sharpened his striking, grappling and killer instinct, and it showed against Joe Stevenson. Every time he moves up the ladder in competition he brings a whole new set of skills to that rung. This time around he showed some stellar takedown D. When he was planted on the Octagon mat, Florian stood up swiftly and kept going forward and finished off the wiley Stevenson.

Up next for Florian is BJ Penn and we should expect the best KenFlo ever. This will be great to see as he understands just how tough Penn is (calls him "the master"). Florian is looking to slay that master and it'll be pleasure to see him rise to that enormous challenge after Penn fights GSP in early '09.
