Lutter cut from the UFC

Travis Lutter has been cut from the UFC after his loss last week to Rich Franklin. Lutter has loads of potential and can be a great addition to any other organization's middleweight division. If he came into his bout with a full gas tank against Rich Franklin and fought like he did in round one in that battle, he could have scored a big win over "Ace" and garnerned another opportunity to fight for the title against Anderson Silva. While Silva has taken out some great fighters such as Franklin, Marquardt and Henderson, it was actually Lutter who was the most threatening against "The Spider." Wherever he goes, if he enters into battle in tip top condition, he has a great chance of securing a middleweight strap in any of the other organizations outside the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
