Mike Brown: Undisputed King of 145

The featherweight WEC title bout between Urijah Faber and Mike Brown left no doubt who the best 145er in the world is right now. Mike Brown showed solid skill in every area to win a unanimous decision of the crafty and highly talented Urijah Faber. Brown used his reach, power, size, and skill in striking and excellent wrestling to thwart the dangerous and explosive Faber. Coming into Sacramento, Faber's backyard, didn't phase the calm and collected Brown who took care of business. Faber fought great and showed a lot of heart sticking out and still fighting hard with a broken hand, but Brown had the edge and kept using solid takedowns and size to deny Faber any chance to finish the bout. It looked like Faber and Brown weren't in the same weight class. Brown used his skill and superior size to prove without a doubt he is the man at featherweight right now and with his solid team in American Top Team, he has a long way to go still.
