Shane Carwin is for real

With 10 straight wins and a perfect MMA record it is a great achievement, but it wasn't until last night that Shane Carwin scored the defining moment in his career as he knocked out Gabriel Gonzaga. Defeating a top 10 fighter like Gonzaga instantly gives Carwin credibility in the heavyweight division. Both fighters did a great job last night and showed some great skill in a fight that only last a minute and nine seconds. Gonzaga showed some solid striking and was very aggressive on the feet and even stunned Carwin. Gonzaga also scored a nice takedown. But equally impressive was Carwin's ability to scramble back to his feet. And of course his solid power and accurate striking came into play and was prominently displayed as Carwin scored the solid knockout as the two exchanged blows.
