Silva vs Jardine breakdown

Both Wanderlei Silva and Keith Jardine are likely to slug it out in their battle this month at UFC 84. Silva is no stranger to striking as his career has pretty much been defined by savagely striking his opponents into unconsciousness. Jardine's great performance against Chuck Liddell has been somewhat unheralded as many people focussed on Liddell not winning as opposed to Jardine scoring the biggest win of his career. But he definitely deserves huge recognition for his win over Liddell.

But Silva's ultra aggression and Muay Thai prowess should allow him to eventually take out Jardine in this one. While "The Dean of Mean" has heavy hands, smart striking and a good ability to take a shot (Houston Alexander had to whale away on him for a lot of shots before putting him away), Silva's experience against top flight competition and vast number of hours clocked in rings and cages across the planet give him an edge against Jardine.

Silva via KO some time within the allotted 3 rounds.
