Silva vs Jardine likely for UFC 84

Wanderlei Silva notes on his blog that a bout with Keith Jardine in May should be signed and delivered soon. It'd be a good matchup for Silva to rebound after a loss, albeit a highly entertaining one. Jardine stands to gain a lot from this fight if he can pull of the win over Silva. With a victory he should be able to secure a title shot versus the winner of Rampage-Griffin. Jardine already holds a win over Forrest Griffin and was on a heck of a roll before running into Houston Alexander. Nonetheless, Jardine's win over Chuck Liddell instantly has risen his stock up many points and a win over Wanderlei would catapult that ten-fold. This fight has the making of being a classic. Silva is ultra aggressive and Jardine doesn't back down either. Stylistically it should be a highly entertaining bout.
