UFC 97 in Montreal still on

The UFC and the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (RACJ) – the governmental agency with authority on combat sports in Quebec – have come to an agreement that will allow UFC 97 to take place in Montreal on April 18, according to CorusSports.com.

It's great news as thousands of seats were sold for the event and would have caused a major stir if the event didn't go on as planned. Canada has had a shaky relationship with the sport of MMA, the most notable conflict resides in Ontario, where the sport is still not being permitted to take.
