Urijah Faber signs new WEC contract

Former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber has signed a new multi-year, multi-fight deal with the WEC.
It's great to hear as not only is he one of the most marquee stars in the organization, but a very exciting fighter to watch. Even when he lost the belt against Mike Brown, the beginning of the end of that bout was due to Brown effectively countering a reverse elbow attempt by Faber. I've only seen Anderson Silva and Faber have the chutzpah to attempt that move and I love the "California Kid" always being exciting in the cage.

After 2 losses to Mike Brown, Faber realizes he needs to bulk up a bit more to contend with potential bigger opponents such as Brown, who was able to outwrestle and use his strength to subdue Faber in their second bout. Faber is up for the challenge and is working hard to pick up some victories at work his way back to possibly getting his title back. He now has a multi-fight contact to get cracking at that endeavor.
